Parts of Devon look set to see snow every day for a week as temperatures drop, making it feel as cold as -8C, as high winds could create blizzard-like conditions.

The county could even see thundersnow by the end of next week if the Met Office forecast holds out.

Parts of Dartmoor which were blanketed in thick snow earlier this week will see more heavy snowfall in the week ahead, according to the Met Office.

Two yellow weather warnings were issued on Tuesday and Wednesday this week as wintry showers of snow, sleet and hail left roads dangerous - sparking a number of accidents - and led one school to close.

Now more snow is on the way, according to the Met Office.

The highest parts of Dartmoor will see the worst of the snow, with the first falls expected from 3am on Sunday morning in Princetown.
